The most annoying things to work on are these DDR solo dance pads. They are not good to start with and there isn’t really anything you can do to make them better unlike the normal two player system. Here is something I did where I took some business cards and taped them to where the sensors hit. It is easy to see where they hit since that is where the metal is worn.

After doing this modification the sensitivity went up only slightly. It’s better to just get the player two system or completely redo how the sensors work in this dance pad.
