The most annoying things to work on are these DDR solo dance pads. They are not good to start with and there isn’t really anything you can do to make them better unlike the normal two player system. Here is something I did where I took some business cards and taped them to where the sensors hit. It is easy to see where they hit since that is where the metal is worn. After doing this modification the sensitivity went up only slightly. It’s better to just get the player two system or completely redo how the sensors work in this dance pad.
Going through games in the basement of where I work I found a Hogan’s Alley and a Duck Hunt chip set. Both turn on, but neither will play the game without making a loud buzzing sound. This means that the system does not see the guns in the holders for the game. However, even when the guns are attached I am not able to shoot said guns. One of the things I thought was wrong was the fact that all of the guns that I have are modified. These are what I have of the guns, but I have not started working on a solution. I ended up putting Super Mario Bros and Excitebike in the same cabinet and calling it good.
I had a friend bring his Global VR V3 multi game arcade machine to my route location. Before it was brought to my location it was working, but when it got to the location it didn’t want to boot. After messing with the machine for a year I finally figured out what it was. When I would turn on the system I would get a missing or corrupt file of PCI.sys. No matter what I did on the computer it would return to this. We ended up contacting Global VR about this and they were no help in trying to figure out the problem. Their end result was to send in the computer to be worked on or to buy one of their system discs, which in turn meant that we needed to buy all of the game discs for the machine.
